We set the highest standards

Our high performance products have been specifically designed to meet the needs of today's customer. As well as being design led, our furniture is also performance driven, with our kitchen furniture being backed by the coveted BS EN ISO 9001:2000 recognition of quality and achieving the FIRA Gold Award accreditation. At Symphony, we are acutely aware of the need to minimise our carbon footprint and the impact our activities have on future generations. We have invested in technology to maximise energy efficiently and source sustainable materials. We were the first company in the industry to attain BS EN ISO14001:2004 accreditation for recognising and controlling the effects of manufacturing on the environment. All our cabinets are made from 100% recycled materials and all our timber-based materials are sourced from guaranteed FSC® sustainable forests.

Symphony maintains a rigorously high standard at all levels. Our production facility in Barnsley, South Yorkshire sets the benchmark for the whole UK furniture industry. It boasts some of Europe’s most advanced manufacturing and assembly technology, and all our products are made to the most stringent quality standards. This has earned Symphony a range of industry recognised standards:

    Quality Assurance

    We were the first company in our industry to gain the quality assurance accreditation BS 9002 Part 2 and ISO 9001-2008. Quality management processes are all about continuous improvement, review and development. Symphony was awarded this certification in recognition of the quality and consistency of its production and control systems.

  • UKAS

    Environmental Assurance

    We were the first company in the industry to attain BS EN ISO14001:2004 accreditation for recognising and controlling the effects of manufacturing on the environment.

    FIRA GOLD

    Symphony is a recipient of the FIRA Gold Award is the ultimate mark of product excellence within the furniture industry. This award provides a solid reassurance that a product meets all necessary standards. The award provides comprehensive testing and ongoing auditing programmes, for a complete range or item of furniture, thus ensuring that it has been manufactured to the highest possible standards.

  • FSC®

    FSC®

    Symphony became the first in the industry to be accredited with a full Forest Stewardship Council (FSC®) chain of custody. The trademark indicates that wood used comes from a well managed source in accordance with strict environmental, social and economic standards. We are committed to supporting international systems of timber from independently verified, well managed forests.

  • PEFC

    PEFC

    The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) offers assurance that as a purchaser of wood products we are promoting the sustainable management of forests.
